How counselling with Louise works

01

Start where you are

You do not need to arrive with the right words, a clear explanation, or a neat version of what you are feeling. We can begin with whatever feels present.

02

Be heard without judgement

Louise works in a person-centred way, which means sessions are led by you, at your pace. She listens, reflects and helps you make sense of what may be sitting underneath.

03

Understand what you carry

Counselling is not about being fixed. It is about understanding yourself with more compassion, building self-awareness, and beginning to respond to life differently.

FREE INTRODUCTORY CALL

The first step is just a conversation.

Available by appointment

Finding the right counsellor matters. The relationship has to feel safe, comfortable and real.

Harbourlight Counselling offers a free 20-minute introductory call with Louise so you can ask questions, understand how she works, and decide whether counselling with her feels right for you.

There is no pressure and no obligation. It is simply a chance to begin gently.

Anger and emotional overwhelm

Anger is often not the whole story. Louise helps you explore what may sit underneath it, including fear, hurt, shame, grief or past experiences.

Support for what sits underneath

People come to counselling for many reasons. Sometimes it is anger. Sometimes anxiety. Sometimes addiction, trauma, grief, shame, sadness or the feeling that life has become too heavy.

Whatever brings you here, you do not need to prove that it is bad enough. If it is affecting you, it matters.

Trauma and difficult past experiences

You are not what happened to you. Counselling offers space to explore how the past may still be affecting your body, reactions, relationships and sense of self.

Anxiety, shame and low self-worth

You may look like you are coping on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, tense, disconnected or not good enough inside. Counselling gives you space to slow down and understand where those feelings come from.

Meet Louise Morgan
